Main description (English)
The article examines draping (moulage) as a creative method in fashion design. It highlights the advantages of this approach over flat patternmaking and its potential for experimenting with form, volume, and proportions to achieve sophisticated silhouettes and complex constructions. A variety of moulage applications are explored, ranging from draping, pleating, and bias-cutting to deconstruction, organic shapes, and origami, through which a wide spectrum of creative design ideas can be realized. The study emphasizes the role of draping as a tool for creating innovative and artistic garments of high design value.
