Main description (English)

In this article some documents regarding ecclesiastical charitable structures, which are placed in the Southern part of Lazio, between the roman town of Privernum and the cistercian abbey of Fossanova, are reported. The first one is a funerary christian inscription (4-5th century a.C.), in which Lucretius and Quintiane are remembered for their charitable and hospitality activities. The second one is a grant document (dated at the beginning of the second half of the 12th century) that informs us about the hospitality provided at the church of Sanctae Mariae. The last document is an iscription, still in situ, on the portal of a building that was the hospice for poors and pilgrims who came in the Fossanova abbey.
