Main description (English)
Occupational safety in the garment industry is one of the main factors influencing the efficiency of the overall production process. The study of the main parameters of the working environment will lead to the creation of real conditions for increasing the efficiency of occupational safety. When working in an unfavorable environment, with values outside the minimum/maximum permissible norms, there may be a risk of accidents and illnesses. When determining the main factors influencing the working environment in the sewing industry, two types stand out - physical and ergonomic. Physical factors include noise, dust, temperature, vibrations, chemical, biological, etc. Ergonomic factors determining the working environment include physical exertion, work pace, convenient use of work equipment, etc. They have a significant impact on the mental state of workers, comfort, well-being, etc. Unfavorable factors of the working environment in combination with technological, ergonomic, and other factors, along with inappropriate design and poor organization of work activities have an adverse impact on health and lead to health problems, such as nervous, visual and mental tension and stress. The purpose of this work is to investigate the degree of influence of the main parameters of the working environment in the sewing industry on the effectiveness of occupational safety. To achieve this goal, two types of surveys have been planned - among employers and among employees. As a result of the research and analysis carried out, the most significant risk parameters of the working environment have been identified, which can have a significant impact on the effectiveness of occupational safety in the sewing industry. Priority aspects for improving working conditions have been identified based on the results obtained for the risk parameters. Keywords: garment industry, occupational safety
