L'integrazione dell'Intelligenza Artificiale (AI) nell'istruzione sta trasformando il modo in cui gli studenti apprendono, offrendo opportunità di personalizzazione e automazione dei processi educativi (Hendrycks et al., 2023). Tuttavia, l'eccessivo utilizzo di queste tecnologie comporta rischi psicologici significativi, soprattutto per le nuove generazioni. L'obiettivo di questa review narrativa è offrire uno stato dell'arte sull'impatto psicologico dell'AI nell'istruzione, evidenziando sia i benefici che i rischi ad essa associati. Per evitare effetti negativi, si propone un approccio equilibrato all'uso dell'AI, con strategie che includono lo sviluppo di programmi di alfabetizzazione digitale, l'uso etico e trasparente dell'AI e l'insegnamento di competenze metacognitive che permettano agli studenti di valutare criticamente il ruolo dell'AI nel loro apprendimento. Così sarà possibile sfruttare al meglio i benefici dell'AI senza compromettere lo sviluppo cognitivo e psicologico degli studenti (Kamalov e Gurrib, 2023; Sánchez-Prieto et al., 2020; Bulut et al., 2024; Abbas et al., 2023). Le fasi della ricerca sono articolate in: ricerca bibliografica attraverso motori di ricerca scientifici; selezione degli articoli in base ai criteri d'inclusione; analisi critica degli outcomes ottenuti. I risultati suddivisi in differenti aree tematiche suggeriscono possibili strategie di fronteggiamento.
