L'articolo di Elizabeth Allison e Peter Fonagy "Quando è importante la verità?", pubblicato a pp. 17-44 di questo n. 1/2020 di Psicoterapia e Scienze Umane (e nell'edizione originale a pp. 275-303 del n. 2/2016 di The Psychoanalytic Quarterly), è stato discusso negli interventi di Morris N. Eagle, Mauro Fornaro e George Silberschatz, ai quali Elizabeth Allison e Peter Fonagy qui rispondono. Vengono ripresi vari temi sollevati nei tre interventi, tra cui il rapporto tra transfert e verità, la differenza tra mentalizzazione e funzione riflessiva, il significato di verità e di fiducia epistemica, il ruolo del trauma, l'ipervigilanza, i now moment, etc.
