Each participant focuses on one of his contributions to the several research fields in which he pioneered innovative approaches throughout his scholarly career: the Indian national movement, the transition from precolonial to colonial India, knowledge and imperial power, the rise of the Second British Empire, the history of globalization, the transregional development of liberalism and nationalism
