To register DOI
ELEONET system offers a unique access point to the three European Registration Agencies making available the DOI registration services for Learning Objects (LOs):
Each RA involved in the project is capable to receive and validate DOI registration messages according to ELEONET metadata schema for LO, based on IEEE LOM v1.0 and compliant with SCORM CAM v1.3.1.
To start registering DOIs, please contact one of the three aforementioned Registration Agencies; then you'll receive a DOI prefix to create the identifier codes for your LOs and a user account
to access the RA registration facilities.
In addition to the registration facilities provided by each Registration Agency a metadata editor to easily create XML files, according to the ELEONET metadata schema is available on ELEONET website.
All necessary materials to correctly compile XML files -
metadata schema and metadata specifications - are downloadable from the
technical documentation area.
